Empathy School
Shakespeare said: ‘All the world’s a stage,’ but something that may resonate more deeply with our experience is that all the world is a school, each day for us another class, a further learning opportunity. Of all the lessons we face, the most challenging may be that of empathizing with those we don’t easily understand. Welcome to "Empathy School," a curriculum presented by speaker and songwriter Doug Benecke with music led by Sallie Spirit.
Doug is a lifelong musician and student of the human spirit. He holds a religion degree from Oberlin College and works daily as an addictions counselor. Doug and his wife, Sallie Spirit, share talks and music at churches all around the Sound.
