"The Scripture of Nature"

As we welcome another Pacific Northwest spring, we’re invited to leave behind winter’s woes and enter into the ecstasy that is nature in this place and season.  In a region so blessed by creation’s artistry, we celebrate that “everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, when nature may heal and give strength to body and soul alike.” This Sunday, an exploration of the scripture of the natural world by speaker and songwriter Doug Benecke, with musical blossoms from Sallie Spirit.

Doug is a lifelong musician and student of the human spirit. He holds a religion degree from Oberlin College and works daily as an addictions counselor. Doug and his wife, Sallie Spirit, share talks and music at churches all around the Sound.
